WHAT TO SEE NEAR GERNIKA?

An essential visit inside the Basque Country, Gernika is the international symbol of Basque culture and tradition. It is also the international symbol of peace.It was Picasso who perpetuated it in his famous painting "Gernika" as a symbol by immortalizing the barbarism of the bombing suffered on the 26th April 1937 in the town. 

But the visit doesn't finish here, located in the Urdaibai biosphere reserve, the environment gives the visitor multiple options, from visiting the Santimamiñe caves, to climbing the stairs of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, have a walk through the painted forest, surfing in Mundaka or taking a bath on the beaches of Laga or Laida.
